A Study On The Inter-Media Agenda Interaction In The Spread Of Natural Disasters Events

The outbreak of natural disasters will not only have a huge impact on the industrial production and daily life of citizens,but may also lead to public opinion events,which is closely related to the diversification of communicators in the process of information dissemination of natural disasters.In the past few decades,the agenda-setting process was controlled by the newspaper,portal and other professional news media agencies,the public can only passively accept the media agenda.With the rise of "We media",the audience can set their own agenda and interact with the mainstream media agenda with the help of digital technology when they are facing natural disasters.By interacting with the mainstream media,the public can participate in the discussion of social public affairs,thus affecting the formation of public agenda.This kind of public engagement helps to promote government information disclosure,cultivate public awareness of participation,strengthen civil society,and ultimately promote the government to adopt a more scientific way of social governance.In this case,the research of agenda setting interaction between professional media and"We media" in the dissemination of natural disasters will not only help to reduce the probability of the outbreak of public opinion events,but also can also benefit the growth of civil society in the long run.Based on the agenda setting theory,this study focus on the event information dissemination process of flooding disaster of Wuhan City using the computer-aided content analysis method and the cross-lagged correlation analysis method.The conclusion is as follows:First,the first level(topic)intermedia agenda-setting did exist while the second level(agenda item)did not exist;Second,in the process of first level agenda interaction,the information flow direction between professional media and "We media" is not fixed,thus the result of agenda-setting interaction is not fixed.Thirdly,the manifestation of agenda-setting interaction includes the convergence of information fusion and public participation.In general,this study mainly consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and significance of the research;The second part reviews the existing research and demonstrates the necessity of this research;The third part introduces the basic framework and specific assumptions of the research,and shows the relevant preparatory work;the fourth and fifth part shows the results of data analysis;the sixth part summarizes the research.
