As MPLS VPN technology flourish,MPLS networks is being used for traffic transmission in the backbone network.In the context of increasing demand for multicast,the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF)has proposed the mLDP protocol.For multicast application where each participant is both a multicast sender and a receiver,the MP2MP protocol can be used,which makes MPLS network improve the transmission efficiency while simplifying the configuration.However,the neighbor management system of MP2MP protocol is currently unable to efficiently update the LSP and balance the traffic of the LSP.In view of the above problems,this Thesis studies the neighbor management problem of MP2MP protocol,the main research contents are as follows:(1)For the update of the LSP,it is mainly necessary to find a label retention policy for neighbor.In this Thesis,the best label retention policy was found by using search of derived state based on a graph model,which can reasonably manage neighbor labels and achieve the purpose of updating LSPs efficiently.(2)For the balanced distribution of traffic,it is necessary to find an efficient load balancing algorithm to select upstream neighbor and neighbor forwarding interface.A new load balancing algorithm is proposed in this Thesis to select upstream neighbor and neighbor forwarding interface,which takes both historical and future factors into consideration to increase network throughput by sharing traffic loads with different upstream and interfaces.(3)For the implementation of neighbor management,this Thesis designs the technical details of MP2MP ptotocol on Quagga system,including the design of forwarding plane(packet forwarding and pruning)and control plane(core control logic and data structures).At the end of this Thesis,the implementation of the MP2MP technology is tested,which shows that the neighbor management meets the expected requirements for efficiently updating LSP and balancing LSP traffic.The proposed neighboring label retention policy based on search of derivation state can support the update of LSPs in various network environments,which can rebuild LSP quickly and reduce packet loss when rebuilding LSP.The proposed load balancing algorithm can take into account the unique characteristics of multicast,such as the number of branches,which make the multicast traffic be more evenly distributed.
