Along with spreading of Internet, network has contacted with people's living and work tougher. At the same time, more and more problems emerge with the quanity of Internet users increasing. Except for the lackness of IP address as we known, there are some problems such as Qos and more bandwidth that is needed and so on.As two diffent network technology, MPLS can resolve many problems that IP network is face with now. And multicast can relax the press that more bandwidth is needed before the network framework is not changed in some application scope, which is just the application that result to consume more bandwidth such as net meeting, net game, multimedia remote education and so on.It is regard that MPLS, as a technology of next generation backbone net, do not support multicast enough when it is advaced. Thus there are some limits when use multicast in MPLS net, such as limited label space, no merging capability, and no Time To Live decrement. The development of multicast reguire it can be applied in any new net, and the researchers both internal and overseas indicate that mulicast and MPLS can supply each other. Now, many existing approachs of multicast over MPLS just aim at one aspect of problems and do not consider the effect to whole network. In this article, though reseaching MPLS and multicast deeply and analysing the existing MPLS mulicast strategy detailedly, a new MPLS mulicast strategy is put forward. It applise some existing techniques such as tunnel, aggregation, redundancy and so on to resolve more problem in several aspects. In this funderation, some mechanism is spplied to avoid congestion, which is advantageous to load balance and improve bandwithd efficiency in whole net. Al last, after analyssing and contending the MPLS module of net simulator software, a model of mulicast over MPLS is completed, and it prove the strategy advaced in this article is doable.
