With the emergence of MPLS technology and MP-BGP, the BGP/MPLS VPNtechnology is becoming more popular as a VPN architeture in the enterprise networks.Meanwhile, it becomes more and more processing in NPLS VPN network supportmulticast application during the video conferences, data sharing and the necessarymulticast application. The studies has shown that with the increasing of the VPN, VPNmulticast group and multicast members, the P and PE routers need to consume a verylarge storage space and CPU time to maintain the VPN multicast state salability issuesof MPLS VPN multicast problem. And this is the key point that the article has studied.Aggregated multicast scheme has forced the multicast group with the similaroriginal tree to share with an aggregation tree by consuming waste of bandwidth sothat this aggregation has reduced the number of network multicast group andforwarding state. This aggregation can reduce the multicast tree in the network, therebyreduxing the need to maintain the number of forwarding state, and improved thescalability.Start from the principle of MPLS VPN mechanisms and aggregated multicast, thisarticle uses the multicast routing protocols to build multicast tree, and it focuses on thealgorithm of aggregated multicast tree construction in the static/dynamic mode in thestudy. This article has analyzed the two existing aggregation algorithm, and combinedwith the aggregated multicast in MPLS VPN features and works as follows.1. Besides giving the analysis of the limitations of the greedy algorithm andgenetic algorithm, this article has proposed aggregated multicast immune geneticoptimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm and immune characteristics.And the simulation has shown that this algorithm has the characters includingimproving the degree of polymerization, ensuring the aggregate effect, fasterconverges and precocious preventation.2. Based on the similarity between two trees in the dynamic mode, the article hasproposed the dynamic overlay aggregation algorithm, which has broken the ideas ofaggregation tree based on the extended solution space, and it is useful for the large-scale multicast aggregation.3. Study the scalability issues during the MPLS VPN multicast. This article hasproposed different solution on the “optimization” and “scalable” for multicast routingbased on the aggregate multicast thinking. The simulation has shown thatimplementation of the MPLS VPN network aggregation can reduce the P networkmulticast forwarding information maintenance and solve the scalability problem. Butthe balance between the maximum degree of aggregation and bandwidth utilizationneeds a rational planning to achieve.
