The Construction Of Sino-Africa Relations By Eight Overseas Social Network Accounts Of China's Media:

Driven by new technology,the convergence of old and new media in the field of international communication is becoming more and more obvious.Increasing China's media open their official overseas social media accounts on platforms like Facebook,Twitter and YouTube.This paper selects eight China's media,China Xinhua News,People's Daily,China,CCTV,CGTN,China Plus News,China Daily,Global Times,China News,taking Beijing Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2018 as a starting point.It applies content analysis and frame theory as the research methods to explore the framework of summit reports from three overseas social platforms of eight China's media.Based on the analysis of the reporting framework and tendency,this paper tries to find out how to improve the reporting strategies of China's media on overseas social media accounts in the new media era and enhance the voice and influence of China's media in the field of international public opinion.The research finds that in terms of the overall framework,the eight media all have made sufficient agenda setting,with good performance in the amount of total coverage and original coverage,high-frequency words and categories,the length of articles,extension of communication and so on.Among them,CGTN and Xinhua News Agency have certain advantages in the number of fans and the total amount of coverage.They are the flagship media of China's international communication,ranking the first tier,but in the aspect of propagation extension,Global Times has the tendency of the latecomers.In the reporting framework of the story,this paper will unfold the Sino-A frica stories from three levels:the national story,the individual and group story,and the summit story.On the reporting framework of sub-topics,it will be introduced in five categories including politics,economy,culture,sports and others.From the perspective of topic narration,objective narrative framework,subjective expression framework and lens presentation framework are the major narrative methods of the eight media reports.At the same time,eight media make use of three advantages of new media like "on the site","active response" and"swiftness" to improve the communication effect compared with the previous reports.In addition,this paper puts forward three suggestions for China's media on international communication in the future.First of all,while strengthening the rapid and stable release of information,strengthen the operation and maintenance of fans,improving user stickiness,and establishing their own communities.Second,telling the Chinese story and culture,meanwhile,do more research on African issues and propose Chinese solutions.Last but not least,we China's media should strengthen cooperation with African media so that we can make China's voice louder in local media in Africa and beyond.
