In the last decade Africa has been perceived by different Governmental, institutional and trade investors as the world's most appealing continent.China was one of the first countries to seek a partnership of bilateral corporation, mutual exchange and investments. The purpose of my thesis is to analyze the different perceptions Chinese and African media are covering about the Chinese investments in Africa, informed by media framing theory;through comparing both sides' media dominant frames and framing patterns in the past five years. The Chinese investments generated several questions and made big media controversial debates. To finally bring to a close with results, viewing China's investments and engagement in Africa as its biggest development contributors and benefactor,in contrast,African media portrays China as a mixed opinion scenario,an equally amazing economic development opportunity and at the same time a new form of colonialism. As stronger economic ties are developed and regular cultural exchanges are expectant.Framing techniques, nevertheless, have been deliberately or instinctively influenced by historical stereotypes, and the constant fear of communism expressed throughout the past two centuries.
