A Study On The Narrative Characteristics Of "China Story" Cloumn In People's Daily Overseas Edition

How does China's external communication media tell the story of China and how its news reports should be presented? This has become an important issue in the study of external communication in the new era.In response to this problem,this study proposes the proposition of the narrative characteristics of the "Chinese Story" column of the People's Daily Overseas Edition.This topic further expands the scope of narratology research,enriches the theory of news narratology and the research content of People's Daily Overseas Edition.This paper uses text analysis and case analysis method to make an in-depth analysis of 93 manuscripts of the People's Daily Overseas Edition from January 5,2017 to December 20,2018 in the Chinese story column,Summarized the narrative features and art.Its content is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction,which introduces the research background,research issues,research significance,research methods and innovations.The second part is a summary of concept identification and related research,including an overview and research summary of the "People's Daily Overseas Edition" and "Chinese Stories" columns,narratology and news narratology,and clarifies the basic concepts.The third part focuses on the narrator,including the basic understanding of the narrator,the analysis of the narrator in the "Chinese Story" column of the People's Daily Overseas Edition,and the function of the narrator.In addition,the three narrative perspectives are also launched.Research has formed an understanding of the text level.The fourth part starts with the construction of event news and non-event news,the sequence and sequence connection,and analyzes what kind of story is told in the "China Story" column of People's Daily Overseas Edition.The fifth part analyzes the "Chinese Story" column of "People's Daily Overseas Edition" from the story level,mainly focusing on the following aspects,namely narrative time narrative,narrative rhetoric and narrative structure,and explores its narrative features and art.The sixth part is also the conclusion,summarizing the three narrative features of the "Chinese Story" column,that is,the perspective of the civilians,Xiao Chang easy to understand;carefully selected materials,to see small and big;storytelling,real and moving.
