Study On Children's Media Contact Behavior In County Towns Under The Vision Of New Media

In the 2019 National Conference,the issue of children's Internet addiction and indulging in mobile phones was concerned by many representatives.In the era of mobile Internet,new media represented by mobile phones are gradually favored by children.Children's exposure to mobile networks is showing a trend of younger age.The convenience of new media tools and the richness of content gradually reconstruct the relationship with children and provide them with a new media environment.The mobile network's cultivation model for children is no longer single,but it also has a significant negative impact on children.Many news reports have suggested that primary school students get myopia because of spending too much time in Tik Tok and mobile phones are becoming their baby-sitters.Children who are "network aborigines" enjoy the convenience brought by the network early,but they lack the ability to identify whether the network content is good or bad.Discrimination ability,new media literacy problems and children's growth in the new media environment has become a topic of concern to the whole society.In view of this,the author takes the new media literacy as an observational perspective,and after sorting out relevant literature,using the method of empirical investigation,selects school-age children from all six primary schools in Yanjin County as the survey object,and investigates their media contact and use behaviors..The results of the study found that in the new media perspective,children's media contact behavior has the following characteristics :Media contact type is based on mobile phones;Media contact motivation is based on entertainment;Media participation is weak;The level of new media literacy is low;Media contact locations become fluid and some problems have arisen such as the alienation of children's media contact behaviors.These characteristics directly affect the communication and development of children and their families.Through analysis and the exploration of the causes of children's problems,the author also finds that this is related to the characteristics of mobile Internet to children in the new media environment: multiple technology cultivation,small screen centralized cultivation and structural cultivation.In addition,the lack of new media literacy education and the restriction of family ideology,the lack of parental care and the misunderstanding of parental behavior,the negative media phenomenon in society and the low status of the country's overall new media literacy affect children's media contact behavior and new media literacy levels.Finally,the article gives some suggestions for improving children's new media literacy level,and giving a positive and benign media environment for children from four aspects: family,school,regulations and media.
