With the rapid development of network technology and the acceleration of higher education reform year by year,the campus network is an important part of the infrastructure construction of the University,which is also an important infrastructure for the implementation of the modernization of education,therefore,constructed safe,stable,the high efficiency network,was in each school digitization campus advancement the important event.The campus network of Zhejiang University of Water Resources and Electric Power(ZJWEU)was began the construction of designment when the new campus was relocated in 2003.With the increasing of the network users,the application of information is expanding and the experience of the campus network is increasing,In order to promote the implementation of the "13th Five-Year" planning of the campus information construction and improve the Internet users' experience on the Internet,after several years of construction,the campus network needs upgrading.By analyzing of the status and problems of original network of campus systematically,combination with the specific needs and basic principles of upgrading campus network and the overall planning of smart campus construction,this paper,which was based on the upgrading and transformation project of Zhejiang University Of Water Resources And Electric Power(ZJWEU),proposed the overall design plan for upgrading and transformation of the campus network:(1)Building a flattened and large two-tier network architecture,using a three-core 10 Gigabit device as the backbone network device to achieve centralized gateway and centralized authentication of the entire network,and the core layer adopts hot standby technology and virtualization technology to implement redundant backup;(2)Building a unified identity authentication platform,and implementing web authentication and non-aware authentication on the whole network;(3)Optimizing the campus network wireless network to achieve campus WLAN coverage of more than 95%,to meet the needs of digital smart campus mobile applications;(4)Re-planning the dormitory network to achieve flexible selection of teachers and students for the dormitory network operators and direct access to the teaching area network;(5)Improving the network security construction,increasing the deployment of security equipment,and establishing a defense-in-depth system.Consequently,with the research of this paper,the problems of campus network existing before are solved,a more stable and higher user experience was proposed.The campus network of ZJWEU has certain representation in the current university campus network construction of the same class.The campus network solution based on the network status of ZJWEU in this paper,has practical value and extending significance.
