With the rapidly development of Internet technology, the network information wave has swept the world. Campus network construction not to be outdone, realizing the information education, education resources sharing, to promote the modernization of education is imperative. Campus network in Colleges and universities not only for teachers and students to provide fast and convenient online learning environment, can also integrate a variety of colleges and universities information system, active campus culture, so as to improve the quality of teaching.In this paper, the Kunming Institute Yangpu campus network upgrading, through the analysis of the problems existing in the original network proposed the demand for the construction of the network upgrade, to complete the upgrade transformation of the network design, and tested by simulation to the design of network, verify the correctness and feasibility for the upgrading of network design scheme.Transformation and upgrading of the main research work for four aspects. One is backbone network upgrade for the three core gigabit network, improve network performance and reliability; the second is the full network support for a smooth upgrade IPv6; the third is the expansion of wireless network, the realization of the campus network covering the whole network blind spot; fourth, strengthens the safety of the campus network.Network design using the core, convergence, access to the three tier network structure, planning the IP address, routing, VLAN, designed the redundant structure of the network exports, and designed the export security control and access security control system; Wireless network design using AP AC system structure, and fully test good signal coverage of different scenarios.Design of the network through simulation tests were carried out. The test results show that after the upgrading of network, more excellent structure, higher performance, more stable and reliable, smooth upgrade of IPv6, the realization of the school network, no blind spot full coverage, research work reached the expected objective.
