Design And Implementation Of Campus Network Upgrading And Reconstruction Project

With the rapid development of computer network technology,increasingly rich of network resources,popularity of intelligent terminal.Campus network as the foundation construction of campus informatization platform,has played a huge role for the school teaching,scientific research and management.Currently campus network of Dalian Medical University was built in 2007 when we moved to the new campus.At that time,all the network devices and application platform was the new purchasing.Eight years later,the network is running in 24 hours everyday.The performance of network equipments is decreasing.The failure rate of the core equipment is also gradually to increase.There is not wireless network in campus.The function of network can not meet the current demand of the reform in teaching.So we must upgrade the campus network.In 2014,Dalian Medical University launched the "Implementation plan of intellig ent campus construction".In 2015,our university should build a practical,high performance,high stability and scalability campus network of the wired and wireless integration.This paper is based on the actual project of the campus network upgrade and transformation.First of all,we have analyzed the network conditions and the existing problems of our university.According to the specific needs of the campus network transformation,the overall planning of "Implementation plan of intellig ent campus construction" and the basic principles of campus network upgrade,we would design the overall program of campus network upgrade.We would plan to upgrade the backbone network equipment.In order to realize the redundancy backup,we would adapt the virtualization technology and the hot standby technology.In the network architecture,we would replace the original three tier network architecture with the big second tier network architecture.We would build the campus wireless network and develop the overall plan of the wireless network construction.We will add the next generation firewall,WEB application firewall and security evaluation system to reinforce network export and network security of server.At present,the network runs smoothly,the user experience is very well.The network will be a solid foundation for the application platform of the future smart campus.
