Investigation And Analysis Of American University Archives Network Information Service

With the development of Internet technology,people's information needs have risen sharply.Archives,as an institution with original records of preservation value formed in the social activities of custodians,actively use Internet technology to provide information services for people and satisfy people's information needs.University archives as a social and cultural education institution,its nature determines that the focus of work is to provide users with information services.This article takes the American Archives Information Service as the research object,uses the methods of network investigation and statistical analysis to investigate and analyze the top 30 university archives in the United States.The research content includes the service object,service content,service policy and service of the archives.Four aspects of technology.After summarizing and analyzing the service characteristics and causes of the network information service of U.S.institutions,combined with the development status in China,we put forward specific suggestions:improve the quality of social media information services,optimize the reference service system,and improve the personalized information service.Accelerate the update of network information;improve the laws and regulations system and the policy rules in the museum;Enhance Internet technology support for network information services;establish regional alliances and share library resources;establish a system of"professional service librarians".
