With the in-depth study of computer graphics,the demand for 3D model processing technology is increasing.The use of existing models to edit 3D models,that is,the reuse of 3D models,has become a research focus in the field of computer graphics.At the same time,computer hardware is becoming more and more mature,and 3D scanning technology is widely used in various fields of research,resulting in many 3D models.However,in the aspect of design,the development of rapid modeling tools is relatively lagging behind,and the research on model reuse algorithms is few either.For the complex requirements of model modeling,traditional modeling technology is difficult to give full play to its advantages.Aiming at the technical difficulties of 3D mesh model splicing and fusion,the geometric modeling techniques of mesh fusion and feature mesh conformal splicing based on cubic B-spline interpolation are studied in detail.The main work is as follows:(1)In-depth study of the 3D model stitching algorithm,in view of the applicability of the stitching boundary in model fusion,this paper proposes a cubic B-spline curve and surface stitching method.Taking the advantage of cubic B-spline,this method is more flexible in editing surface modelling,universally applicable to most model boundaries,and can seamlessly and smoothly merge the two mesh models together.In addition,experiments show that the method can preserve the details of the source model for the part outside the fusion area.(2)The shape-preserving stitching algorithm of feature mesh based on Laplacian deformation is optimized.First,empirical mode decomposition(EMD)is used to obtain surface details of different scales,and the source model features are transmitted to the target region,which makes the algorithm more flexible and can generate diverse modeling results.Secondly,in view of the fact that the shape curvature of the selected model area feature is different from that of the target area feature,the Laplace mesh stitching method based on rotation invariant is used to keep the new model synthesis details consistent with the overall shape of the target surface.In the end,it has been proved that the proposed method is effective and shape-preserving for model splicing by a lot of experiments.(3)Considering the proposed algorithm and the requirement of human-computer interaction,a 3D mesh model splicing system is realized to supply the application.Using OpenGL graphics library and C++,the software development of mesh stitching fusion and target model acquisition has been completed.The system has the characteristics of good interaction and good performance through examples.
