With the rapid development of additive manufacturing technology,production efficiency has greatly increased,while fast modeling tools' development has relatively lagged in terms of design.Besides,the additive manufacturing technology's characteristic of making arbitrarily complex structure puts forward new requirements for modeling tools,and the traditional modeling techniques are unable to give full play to the additive manufacturing technology's advantages.For the slowness and difficulty of complex structures' modeling,two geometric modeling technologies which are mesh fusion and mesh clone based on feature reuse are researched in this paper.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)For triangular mesh parameterization technique,the mapping between two mesh models is established by Discrete Exponential Map parameterization.It meets the requirements of real-time interactive operation in fusion modeling and clone modeling,and the characteristic of locally high precision corresponds to local operation of fusion and clone modeling.For abundant mesh models' management and classification,storing feature information of models by simple,flexible,standard and unified XML documents,building model library with the help of pugxml parser.(2)For macroscopic feature reuse,a fusion modeling technique based on global mesh deformation is researched.Firstly,put forward a parameterization method of the feature mesh boundary and introduce the method of filling holes based on the least-squares meshes.Secondly,the mesh deformation optimization algorithm based on layer and the optimization conformal method of feature mesh are proposed.Finally,the experiment indicates that mesh fusion modeling method is effective,conformal,convenient and efficient.(3)For surface microcosmic feature reuse,a clone modeling technique based on displacement vector details is researched.Firstly,introduce mesh smoothing method based on Laplacian mesh deformation and its characteristics.Secondly,give the expression of feature details and put forward the mesh reconstruction method of feature details on the target mesh.Finally,the experiment indicates that clone modeling method is effective,extensive,flexible and efficient.Based on above research,OpenGL graphics library and C++,the modeling software module of mesh fusion and mesh clone are developed.Good results have been achieved by experiments.
