The development of integrated circuit manufacturing technology brings the design of integrated circuits into the era of system-on-chip(So C).IP core design has become an important part of system-on-chip development.With the continuous improvement of IP design complexity,the complexity of functional verification is also getting higher and higher.The success of the chip design is closely related to the verification of IP.How to choose the appropriate verification method according to different IP design to make an efficient verification is a valuable research topic.With the widespread use of portable devices,the USB 2.0 OTG IP core based on the AHB interface and the UTMI+ PHY can switch the roles of the USB device from the master to the slave,so that the USB interface can be used to be a portable device.The dissertation focuses on the system-level verification of USB2.0 OTG IP.By analyzing the AHB bus protocol,this paper proposes the verification partition and verification scheme of AHB.Then,by analyzing USB2.0 protocol,OTG protocol and the functions of each module of USB2.0 OTG IP,a verification scheme for USB2.0 OTG is worked out.Finally,by researching UTMI + PHY capabilities,a validation set of USB PHY was developed.Through the research of the above protocol and the analysis of the IP to be verified,a system-level verification platform is set up.According to the verification scheme,a verification test vector is prepared through the NC-Sim simulation tool.The hardware and software collaborative verification technology is used to verify the IP in system-level,analyzing if the results meet the requirements.Analysis of the simulation results shows that the verification of USB,such as the read and write of registers,basic transmission and handle the error interrupts,in different speed mode,such as slow speed/full speed/high speed mode,the IP can all do a correct deal.The USB attached to the So C works well and efficiently and recognizes a wide range of USB devices.
