Fiber Channel switches are repeaters in the entire fiber network and their performance directly determines the quality of service across the network.At present,most of the advanced product shares in the switch market are still occupied by foreign corporation.The domestic R&D demand of switches for independent property rights is imminent.This paper uses the FC switch as a representative to illustrate the CICQ switch structure and its combination of hardware and software platform for verification.First,this dissertation introduces the related protocols and several switching structures of FC switches and select the Crossbar structure which is widely used.We analyze the performance difference between the cached Crossbar and no-cached,introducing the virtual output queue VOQ to enhances the throughput of the switch fabric,and finally choosing the switches based on the CICQ structure.Then,we analyze the scheduling strategy of switches,and compare the performance difference between RR,LQF_RR,IMCQF_RR.The purpose we use the IMCQF_RR strategy is to solve the poor fairness of traditional scheduling strategy and verify its actual performance.In addition,the performance parameters of switches are introduced from the view of the switch verification.Because the performance test of switch needs to be done in a real network platform.Therefore,the concept and type of the network traffic models are proposed and analyzed,including Poisson,MMPP and self-similar model.Meanwhile,three schemes of verification platform are introduced,including pure software,pure hardware and combination of both.Finally we choose the third one.Later,we introduce the implementation method of switch and the verification platform,and analyze their internal structures and modules,giving correct simulation results.Last,this dissertation divides the test into two steps.First,we verify the accuracy of the traffic generator and find that the traffic from generator is according with three models,so function of the platform is accurate.Then,we add the CICQ switch into the platform to finish the overall test.The printed results show that the CICQ switch with IMCQF_RR strategy has high throughput,low latency and high fairness.
