High performance Network over Coax(HINOC)is a new broadband access solution for high-performance two-way transmission.HINOC is focused on the last 100 meters of coaxial broadband access, after more than ten years of accumulation of cutting-edge technology and the key technology,HINOC technology has become an industry standard and an international standard with independent intellectual property right,HINOC 2.0 protocol has become the standard of China's broadcasting industry in March 2016 and the international standard of ITU-T in October 2016,at present, the HINOC technology has gradually matured and towards industrialization.HINOC technology includes 1.0 and 2.0 two generation standards,HINOC 2.0 improves HINOC 1.0 technology, and channel bandwidth increases from 100 Mbps to 1Gbps,and the maximum number of users increases from 32 to 64.Bandwidth allocation mechanism is one of the key technologies of HINOC,which is of great significance for improving network performance. In order to allocate bandwidth resources reasonably and efficiently,we need to study the bandwidth allocation mechanism of HINOC 2.0,and to improve and optimize the existing bandwidth allocation algorithms to adapt to the service needs and the improved performance. In this thesis,a comprehensive study on HINOC 2.0 bandwidth allocation mechanism is presented including optimizing and improving the existing problems of bandwidth allocation algorithms under HINOC 2.0 circumstance, and proposing a dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm based on back propagation neural network prediction(BP-DBA).Firstly,the HINOC 2.0 protocol are described in detail, including network organization, topology structure, protocol stack and MAC layer protocol mechanism, and the channel allocation mechanism is emphasized;Secondly, the bandwidth allocation algorithm is investigated, the classical bandwidth allocation algorithm of other access networks and the existing bandwidth allocation algorithm of HINOC 2.0 are introduced, the design principles of the bandwidth allocation algorithm and the existing problems of the existing bandwidth allocation algorithms are analyzed, the corresponding scheme to optimize and improve is exhibited. Then,a dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm(BP-DBA),which adopts the queue data prediction algorithm based on neural network and the bandwidth allocation strategy based on the service level agreement,is proposed on the basis of the existing algorithm, and the design idea and implementation mechanism of the algorithm are elaborated in detail;Ultimately, the HINOC simulation platform is built based on the OPNET,and the new algorithm is simulated and analyzed respectively, the simulation results show that the proposed BP-DBA algorithm has a higher prediction accuracy and can significantly improve the time delay, bandwidth utilization and fairness without affecting other performance.Hence, the dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithm proposed in this paper specially designed for HINOC 2.0 can better appropriately meet service needs and performance. Moreover, this thesis provides a meaningful reference to the further research of bandwidth allocation mechanism of HINOC 2.0 protocol.
