With the development of the Internet, the application and the user of it are increasing rapidly. Because different applications and users share the network bandwidth, the fairness of bandwidth allocation is becoming more and more important. People make many researches on the mechanism of bandwidth allocation, and this paper has made further research on the mechanism of bandwidth allocation based on the earlier researches.This paper addresses to the fairness of AQM algorithms after the summarization and analysis of some major AQM algorithms. We focus on the fairness of the Core-Stateless Fair Queue algorithm. We propose an Improved CSFQ algorithm and verify its fairness by the simulation. We extend our research to the DiffServ network. Since the packet mark algorithm can guarantee the fairness, we study the packet mark algorithms, focusing on an packet mark algorithm—tswTCM algorithm and its advanced version ItswTCM algorithm. Then we propose a fairer mark algorithm—FtswTCM algorithm, and by the simulation we can find that this packet mark algorithm combining with AQM can achieves fairer bandwidth allocation in high provision level and in low provision level.
