In the new media era,with the development of digital publishing and new media,the development and popularization of mobile devices such as the Internet and mobile phones,people's reading methods have gradually changed.With the increasing number of audio-reading websites and APPs in China,the scale of audio-reading users is becoming larger and larger,and audio-reading has become a new way of reading in the new media era.Audio books liberate people's tired eyes and enrich the time of fragmentation after people work and study.As a young user at the forefront of the development of the times,not only is it the audience group with the highest usage rate and share of electronic products,but also the main force of Internet users.Youth users can listen to audiobooks through mobile audio APP,Wechat public numbers,audiobooks websites,etc.through smartphones and computers,so young users will have audiobooks.The backbone of the voice reading market.Based on the background of the new media era and the significance of research,this paper uses comparative research methods to compare the development status of domestic and foreign audiobooks,and extends to the comparison of the development status of domestic and foreign youth audiobooks.It is found that compared with the development of foreign youth audiobooks,China is still in the initial stage of exploration,and the youth audiobooks market is still in the early stage of exploration.It is urgent to open up.This paper focuses on the use of youth audiobooks in China by means of questionnaire survey.Questionnaires are sent out online and recycled.Then cross-analysis is made from age and gender according to the valid questionnaires collected,and conclusions are drawn,so as to summarize the current situation of the development of youth audiobooks in China and the use of young people.The situation of audio books.Finally,according to the results of the comparative study and the questionnaire survey,the relevant strategies are put forward to provide suggestions for the decision-making of the publishing enterprises to invest funds,technology and manpower in the production and development of youth audiobooks.
