With the increasing complexity and diversification of IP multicast application requirements and the maturity of VPN network technology,multicast VPN applications are becoming more and more popular.Achieving multicast technology in the virtual private network network,is a variety of router products to solve the indispensable problem.Select the most reasonable implementation of the program to run multicast VPN services,but also major operators to solve the problem.Among the proposed solutions,the Multicast Domain(MD)scheme stands out.In the premise of minimizing the existing network transformation,it mainly solves the overlapping of private network address space and how to carry forward the multicast data on the private network according to the needs of the public network,which greatly improves the stability of the whole backbone network architecture.At the same time,in the data forwarding level,high-speed network processor NP-5 to forward multicast data traffic,greatly improving the efficiency of multicast data processing.High-speed data processing mechanism with a reasonable MD program,making multicast VPN system is fully able to adapt to a variety of multicast business needs.Multicast VPN is a Layer 3 multicast service based on the MPLS/BGP VPN architecture.Mainly encapsulates the multicast packets on the private network side,transmits the packets through the public network,and then decapsulates the packets on the receiving end to implement the non-discriminative interaction between the private network packets and the public network packets.The paper begins with the background significance and the research situation at home and abroad,analyzes the necessity of the topic,and further discusses the technical analysis related to the system,focusing on the system design,including requirements analysis,data structure design and key module design,According to the proposed design of the system to achieve a specific,and finally the system for data testing,basically reached the initial expectations.In this paper,the MPLS/BGP-based three-layer VPN multicast application is introduced.After the implementation of the specific MD scheme and high-speed network processor NP-5,the function and performance are fully satisfied.The requirements of the multicast VPN are proved,which proves the rationality and validity of the MD scheme.
