With abroad application of IP technology, IPv4 can not satisfy requirements for bigger address space, better quality of service, security, and so on. The application of IPv6 technology is inevitable.moreover, IPv6 multicast technology has become an indispensable technology of the next generation of Internet.At the beginning of this paper, IPv6 multicast protocol and implemention technology is researched and analysed. And structure characteristic of IXP2400 is summarized. Then, proposes a IPv6 multicast system systematic framework based on it, and designs software and hardware system framework, describes detailedly resource partition and data structure of the system. Based on deeply analyzing system performance bottleneck, Combining characteristic of IXP2400,Designs a IPv6 speediness route search technique,which fit for implemention on IXP2400 , Proposes an idea,which improving data transmission efficiency by application of "Zero Copy" technology in multicast. Researches "multicast Zero Copy" implemention technology based on IXP2400, total software system structure is designed. Design and implemention plan of module is presented. The quantitative analysis means of data transmission performance is researched,and analyses the system performance by the means.
