As an important part of interdisciplinary business between economic industry and cultural industry,the development of the media industry has contributed greatly to the improvement of regional economy,scientific and technological progress,comprehensive economic strength and social and cultural quality.It has great significance for the development of regional economy and culture.It is an inevitable trend to have clustering development to improve the competitiveness of the media industry.Yangtze River Delta cultural and creative industrial cluster with the strength of advertising planning and new media which is based in Shanghai is one of the three major media industrial clusters in China.With a broad consumer market,full-coverage information infrastructure construction and the unique cultural resource advantages,Yangtze River Delta media industrial cluster has been developed into a large scale and equipped with strong competitiveness.However,the phenomenon of regional imbalanced competitiveness of Yangtze River Delta media industrial cluster is currently quite serious.From the perspective of regional economics,the long-term existence of imbalanced competitiveness is harmful for the overall development of the industry.At the same time,with the rapid development of media industry,the research on the competitiveness of media industrial cluster is emerging quietly.With tentative application of theories of industrial cluster,industrial competitiveness and regional media economy,this paper carries out a study on the competitiveness of Yangtze River Delta media industrial cluster,providing reference and enlightenment for regional balanced development of media industrial clusters.First,statistical analysis technique is used to collect the data about relevant indicators of 31 provinces and municipalities of China in 2015.Then the spss is used to conclude the data on the competitiveness of media industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta.Then the literature research method is adopted.With reference of the existing data,calculate the indicator on the competitiveness of national media industrial cluster and measure the competitiveness of media industrial clusters in Yangtze River Delta(Shanghai,Zhejiang,Jiangsu,and Anhui).At the same time,collect and analyze relevant literature of industrial clusters in the field of economics and apply it in the research on the competitiveness of media industrial clusters,so as to provide strong theoretical support.Finally,case study method is used.HG Entertainment media industrial cluster in Yangtze River Delta is selected for the analysis on the development of typical media industrial cluster's competitiveness.On the basis of the previous analysis,a feasible adjustment path is proposed for the balanced development of media industrial clusters in Yangtze River Delta.Overall,the media industrial clusters in Yangtze River Delta have an advantaged position in China and have very strong competitiveness.The media industrial clusters with strongest competitiveness are located in Zhejiang and Shanghai.However,the contradiction of the imbalanced development of regional clusters is also very serious,which is mainly reflected in the incomplete matching between the media development scale,media products' production capacity and media economic benefits in the provinces and municipality of Yangtze River Delta.Exteriorly,the area is divided serious and has a weak cluster serving capacity.The situation of imbalanced competitiveness of media industrial clusters in Yangtze River Delta region must be changed.In addition to the reference of the development experience of HG Entertainment industrial cluster,media enterprises should also pay attention to the coordination and distribution of responsibilities;from the media industry level,expand the cluster effect and build regional brands;from the governmental regulation level,improve the institutional management,and promote the upgrading of media industry.Improve the competitiveness of the media industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta,so as to enhance the overall competitiveness of China and actively cope with the pressure from abroad.
