As the science and technology have been developed rapidly,more and more data has been generated and needs to be stored.Therefore,it is of great importance to study efficient image coding methods.As one of the most potential image compression encoding methods,fractal image coding methods have attracted lots of attentions from researchers in recent years.Most of classical fractal image coding methods can be applied to achieve high compression ratio,but the recovery effect of images needs to be improved further.In this study,the filter pretreatment integrated method of Compression Sensing Coding and Fractal Image Coding has been proposed to improve the recovery effect of images.In addition,the encoding time of classical fractal image coding methods needs to be shortened.To this end,the wavelet pretreatment integrated method of Compression Sensing Coding and Fractal Image Coding has also been studied to shorten the working time.The filter pretreatment integrated method of Compression Sensing Coding and Fractal Image Coding are briefly described as follows.First,the Butterworth low-pass filter is used to decompose the frequency signal components of image into the high part and low part.Then,compressed sensing coding is applied to process the high frequency image component while the fractal image coding is used to process the low part.Combining both coding methods,we can restore images with both high quality and compressed ratio.According to our experimental results,the proposed image coding method can realize a slightly lower Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PNSR)than that from the compressed sensing coding method alone.However,the compression ratio obtained from our method is larger than that of the compressed sensing coding method with 9 ~ 17 times.The PSNR of our proposed image coding method is higher than that of the classical fractal image coding method with 2.2 ~ 7.5 dB.The wavelet pretreatment integrated method of Compression Sensing Coding and Fractal Image Coding are briefly described as follows.In this method,the high frequency and low frequency signals components from the original image are firstly extracted with the wavelet transform method,which includes discrete first,second and third-order wavelet transform.Then,the compressed sensing coding is applied to deal with the high frequency component while the fractal theory encoding is used to process the low part.Our experimental results show that as theorder of the wavelet transform increases,the averaged coding time is greatly saved although the compression rate drops and the PSNR of the restored image is just slightly reduced.The technology studied in this paper can not only maintain the high quality of restored images,but also effectively shorten the coding time than that of the classical fractal image coding method.Therefore,the methods we proposed in this paper should be widely applied to the image and video coding processing.
