LAN-based modular test system LXI with its low-cost,high performance, high throughput characteristics gradually replacee GPIB,1394,become a new generation of industrial test bus system. In order to take advantage of the performance advantages of LXI test network and the existing VXI equipment, the best way is to build LXI-VXI integrated test network, and LXI-VXI slot controller is the key to connecting LXI network and VXI network.LAN-based LXI test network requires higher time synchronization accuracy to achieve high-precision interrupt, triggering functionIn this paper,a 1000 Mbps LXI-VXI zero-slot controller module with nanosecond precision time synchronization accuracy is designed using the time-synchronization packet at the network physical layer. The advantage is that it can be implemented at 1000 Mbps Ethernet Based on the realization of nanosecond high-precision time synchronization for the LXI-VXI integrated test network interrupt and trigger to provide higher accuracy. This paper studies the transplant of the embedded operating system uc-linux to the LXI-VXI slot controller board and the preparation of the physical layer chip BCM54240 linux driver. The advantage of using uc-linux is its support for TCP / UDP and other basic network protocols. The LXI-VXI system controller designed in this paper has been manufactured with four sets of prototypes, passed the LXI-VXI system integration test, stability test, electromagnetic compatibility test and high and low temperature test. Its indicators basically meet the requirements. In the LXI-VXI integrated test system, multiple trough cascades work properly and implement IEEE1588V2 clock synchronization.
