Design And Implementation Of Data Analysis System For Decision Support Of An Institute Of Aerospace

Along with the advancement of informatization,expansion of various business systems,as well as enlargement of data size in an institute of aerospace,the problem of data sharing and data inconsistency amongst different business units is becoming increasingly prominent.Meanwhile,higher authority has made a clear request to advance the management efficiency,and this particular request has spurred this aerospace institute to equip a more sophisticated IT system to better support decision making.This project provides a data analysis system to support decision-making of executives and managements of this aerospace institute and its affiliates,and it solves problems arose from data inconsistency and data sharing.Data silos is eliminated on institute level,thus the consensus-reaching process between different departments will be speeded up,problem spotting and solving will be more efficiently done � this can provide supports for decision making,and management standard and business performance will be highly enhanced.In this article,the requirement analysis is based on this aerospace institute ' data analysis requirements originated from decision-making support,by arranging business analysis requirements of executives and departmental managements as well as analyzing data structure of existing business systems,ETL tools are used for data extraction and loading,then after a series of data processing � such as data filtering,cleansing,conversion,derivation,supplementing,summarization,etc � a standard,unified and consistent data will be loaded to a data warehouse.The design of the data warehouse adopts the popular Star Schema.Afterwards,using the BI product to finish Universe semantic layer modeling,on the basis of which the report and dashboard are produced,so as to realize the function of data analysis.This system establishes an index system with three major business themes,which are strategic planning,scientific research and production,and market management,and this system has an analysis representation of the three business themes in the form of charted reports.This system offers a strong analysis capability and abundant visualization methods for analysis results,thus made the results more dependable,and the business meaning of the results easier understandable.For safety management,a systematic management function is adopted to secure data.The system has been tested to meet the functional and performance design requirements.
