Shared bikes have become an important trip mode for urban dwellers, but they also bring impacts on people's perception and urban space.Sharing bicycle is the product of deep integration of media technology and transportation. But at present, the studies of sharing bicycle are concerned only on their technical attributes, while ignoring it also a cultural phenomenon. This study chooses Mobike as a as a specific observation object.Through the participatory observation and text analysis, this paper analyzes sharing bicycles from three aspects of visual texts, scopic regime and visual powers from the perspective of visual machine studies,to figure out what kind visual machine the sharing bicycle is,its visuality and how sharing bicycles impact people's cognitive styles. The study finds that sharing bicycles produce a lot of virtual visual texts and physical visual texts. The intertextuality of the two types of visual texts lead to the translation of the viewer's eyes between the virtual space and the physical space, and also the body's depth participation in seeing of the eyes, which extend the visual ability of the human eyes to create a “compound eye viewing”.At the same time, the new visual way affects the distribution of visual power in the urban space. The image production power transfer from professionals to non-professionals.The visible power increases for the viewer. We can see that the power of seeing and the power to generate seeing have been united in a person.Users becomes prosumers. The sharing bicycles not only bring the change of trip mode of city dwellers, but also create a new schema of cognition that combine the past relative separation ones.Urban managers should not underestimate the impact of the Mobike.Sharing bicycles should not be controlled only as transportation or media, they must be coordinated, guided and managed as a new way of perception.People should also recognize the social impacts and changes of sharing bicycles from cultural perspective.
