The rapid development of information technology has made the Internet as a basic element of the society, and Wechat,as the leader of it,has become a part of our life.It has essentially changed the scene and way of connection between people and others.Joshua Meyrowitz put forward a new idea about the influence of media on social behavior, that is,"new media, new scene, new behavior".The WeChat moments is a platform integrating pictures, text, videos, links, music, etc.,which greatly meets the needs of modern people to share their lives and express their attitudes. The WeChat Moments extends and integrates the real interpersonal relationship, forming a new communication situation. It makes user understand the life of friends as well as show the self, playing a vital role in the daily interaction. This paper takes WeChat Moments as the research object, and takes the media situation theory as the theoretical basis to discuss the applicability of this theory in the situation of Wechat Moment and to make a deep sketch of the new situation features formed by the WeChat Moments.Taking Goffman's self-presentation as the starting point and using the questionnaire based on other scholars' research to measure the selfpresentation behavior of WeChat Moments, the paper aims to analyze the the characteristics of individual self presentation behavior in the " Central " situation formed by the WeChat Moments.Combined with the way of Internet interview, the author discusses how the online virtual performance of WeChat is realized in the context of WeChat Moments, and reflect on the reality and the reality of self-presentation.According to the statistical analysis, the gender, age and educational background of demographic variables have the significant differences in the use of situation control,"stage setting",and the use of self-presentation strategies. In terms of gender, women have higher self-presentation management intensity, and use WeChat Moments longer on average, the frequency of changing their profile photo and the frequency of using "who can see" functions, and the average score of self presentation strategies is higher. In terms of age, younger group has stronger sense of management and use Wechat Moments for longer periods of time. From the academic level, the higher the level of educational background means the more detailed the management of WeChat Moment, and the higher the frequency of using the "label" group function and the "who can see" function. That's to say,the higher the level of educational background, the greater the use of self-presentation strategy and the more emphasis on the division of friends, which is in order to achieve the ideal self presentation.Based on the above data, the paper summarizes how the individual of WeChat moment realized the idealized virtual performance. It is divided into three stages. The first stage is Self-cognition: WeChat is a semi-acquainted virtual community, and the stage "stage setting" is individualized. It is part of personal role molding and promotes personal cognition. This stage is mainly based on the use of acquired self-presentation strategy. The second stage is the idealized stage: the "collective presence" of the WeChat Moments audience influences self-presentation behavior, enables the integration and reshaping of the real social role, actively display content in many ways, hides behavior that does not meet social expectations, and sincerely expects others to take him seriously. The adaptive self-presentation and defensive self-presentation are used in this stage. The third stage is Feedback regulation stage: the continuity of self presentation and the plasticity(two-way interaction)promote self-improvement and self-cognition,this stage is mainly based on defensive self-presentation strategy.
