The automobile industry as a modern manufacturing industry is one of the important pillars of the national economy.Foundry production is an important part of the automotive industry,providing major auto parts such as cylinder blocks,cylinder heads,and axle housings.Casting product quality affects the overall quality of the car.The moulding line is the summary point and key point of the casting production.Each of its links plays a crucial role in product quality.With the implementation of the “Made in China 2025” strategy,the production equipment is developing toward automation and intelligence,and the application of robots in manufacturing has also become a general trend.At present,robots have been used more and more widely in many processes such as carry and assembly in the process of making cores in the foundry process,but the application rate in the moulding process of foundry production is extremely low.Because the robot has precise positioning and good stability,applying the robot to drill passage of gas in sand mould can not only greatly reduce the production labor intensity,increase the product quality and production efficiency of the production line,effectively eliminate the safety risks in the production process,but also improve production line automation.The degree of automation,enriching the typical case of connecting the robot with moulding through Profibus fieldbus technology.For this reason,based on the fieldbus technology,the robot will be integrated with automatic moulding production line to improve the level of automation and intelligence of the molding production line,improve the production quality,and meet the development trend of industrial automation.It is a very practical and feasible production equipment transformation and upgrading project.In this paper,the moulding line is used as the research object,based on the original control system,establish a linkage control based on Profibus fieldbus about drilling passage of gas in sand moule by robot for moulding line with PLC.Its advantage is to significantly improve the level of automation of the moulding line,and eliminate the problems existing in the work position drilling passage of gas in sand,improve the quality of the passage of gas in sand moule,thereby improving product quality.The moulding line uses the Siemens S7-400 series PLC and connects the field slave stations through the Profibus bus to form the entire control system.Thus,the main contents are as follows: Firstly,study the Profibus fieldbus and robot control technology,analyze its principle and structure;Secondly,perform functional design of the ABB robot'sdrilling the passage of gas in sand moule unit,compile the control program,select the appropriate components to meet the required function,complete the configuration of robot cell components,and design the mechanical structure of tool;Then,analyze the original control system of the molding production line to reconfigure and modify the program to integrate the robot control unit into the control system flow;Finally,the software is used to simulate the robot unit to further optimize the system and program,and connect the robot unit and the molding line through the Profibus field bus.As a slave station,the robot realizes the automatic operation of drilling the passage of gas in sand mould with the moulding line.Industrial robots,as the core executors of the intelligent production of production lines,are widely used as the trend of intelligent production automation.After the completion of the project of the linkage control system of PLC and robot based on Profibus fieldbus,the moulding line forms a new intelligent control system,which brings extremely far-reaching influence on the control mode and production mode.
