The city is an open space for life and consumption,as well as a gathering place for the media.With the advent of the information age,the cultural interpretations of different cities are quite different.The competition among cities has gradually shifted from the previous “hard” powers such as politics and economy to the comprehensive qualities of cities that test the urban culture as a typical example.The confrontational trend of “soft” strength,a good city image not only manifests itself in urban characteristics and civilization,but also reflects the influence and appeal of urban development.Therefore,cities and media have formed a rich spatial meaning.The mass media is one of the important bridges for constructing and spreading the image of the city.The newspapers,television,and broadcasting media provided indispensable ideas and speeches for the public space of the city.Nowadays,it is accompanied by new media technologies and means of communication.The popularity of the public space creates a vast stage for the production and dissemination of information in the public space.The public's perception and understanding of the image of the city increasingly depends on the spread of the media.The city of Wuhan,under the coverage of the mass media,has given audiences of different dimensions in space and time a certain degree of recognition.These are all concrete signs of the modernization of the city.Each time there is a typical sense of development and progress for Wuhan.Urban cultural maps add splendid colors.As a result,the media provides a basic platform for the public to understand the culture and connotation of the city.In particular,online media has greatly enhanced the flow and interaction of city information,and has become an important part of the city's image transmission.The first chapter and the second chapter of this article explain the related concepts and introduce the general appearance of the city image of Wuhan.Chapters 3 and 4 mainly describe the Wuhan city image structure under the cybermedia space;Chapter 5 is A number of suggestions have been made to address the above mentioned existing issues.Therefore,the urban image is not only a field in a geographical sense,it is a space of speech and content information based on the setting of the medium social agenda,and it is also a community of fate in the spiritual sense,an emotional space and a value space.The real existence,at the same time,is given a special realistic landscape imagined by the city,which carries the dual functions of enriching the urban connotation and based on this information exchange.
