When developing radar and communication systems,jointly debug,verification and test of the entire system require in-field test with high costs and are limited by unstable test environments.The array echo simulator can simulate array echo signals with multiple targets and accurately simulate interference and clutter signals in different environments which in result can greatly improve the development efficiency and test methods of array radar and communication systems.The parallel signal generation technique,especially the synchronous multi-channel high-speed wideband signal generation technique,is a major difficulty in developing array echo simulators.Based on the requirements of a phased array radar simulator,this thesis proposes a method which combines palyback with real time simulation to parallel generating the synchronous multi-channel high speed wideband signals.An offline correction mechanism is designed to solve the problem of channel unconsistency in array echo simulation.After the basic radar waveform theory and array signal processing theory briefly introduced,firstly,the system composition of a phased array radar echo simulator is presented,and then the work flow and the timing control logic of the array echo simulator are designed.Different tasks are allocated to the main control board,the timing board and the signal simulation boards,with an inter-board communication mechanism designed;the designed mechanism supports the parallel signal generation method which combines playback with real-time simulation.To parallel generating the synchronous multi-channel high-speed wideband signals with multi-targetsin array echo simulation,according to the basic theories of radar waveforms and array signal processing,the baseband waveform generation module,the multi-channel signal parallel generation module,the multi-channel signal delaying and doppler modulation module,the array element modulation module,and the digital up-conversion module are designed to implement the basic multi-targets,multi-channel array signal simulation function.Addressing the problem of channel unconsistency in multi-channel array signal generation,strict synchronization techniques are adopted in multi-channel clocks and data.Moreover,multi-channel amplitude and phase unconsistency correction techniques are further employed,which use the direct delay compensation method and the Lagrange interpolation method to improve the multi-channel consistency.Finally,the implemented array echo simulator is verified by experiments.The function.and performance of the multi-targets multi-channel echo simulation,the interference signal simulation and the clutter simulation are tested,especially with the multi-channel amplitude and phase unconsistency correction mechanism verified.The test results show that the implemented array echo simulator meets the design requirements,with the adopted parallel signal generation technique verified.The parallel signal generation technique presented in this thesis has certain reference significance for the generation and simulation of array radar and communication signals.
