The power amplifier is at the end of the FM transmitter system. It is an important component of the entire transmitter system. The stable and reliable operation of the power amplifier is directly related to the broadcast effect of the broadcast program, which occupies a critical position in the system. However, amplifiers are high-power devices and often have some inherent properties such as high temperature during operation, high current, and sensitivity to loads.Whether its work is safe and stable is not only easily interfered by internal factors such as frequency and temperature, but the slight change of the front and rear connected devices will increase the possibility of damaging the power amplifier. Therefore,it is necessary to continuously collect various analog parameters and switches of the transmitter power supply and power amplifier unit, and perform fault detection and processing on the system in real time to ensure the stability of its operation. This article analyzes the development background of the transmitter power amplifier control system and the research status at home and abroad, and combines the work flow of the power amplifier extension to design a control system that meets the requirements of the technical specifications. On the basis of the completion of the requirements analysis,a hardware structure design plan was formulated. The whole system takes the ARM main control module as the core, and the FPGA data acquisition module cooperates with other modules to perform the task of division of labor. The main control unit uses the STM32F103 ZG microprocessor as the kernel and completes the design of major software program modules such as serial communication, interface display,human-computer interaction, fault detection programs, and startup and shutdown procedures. The use of Spartan-6 series FPGAs enables the collection of multiple analog and digital inputs and gives the implementation process of a detailed control flow.In the final stage, according to the system-related test conditions and standards, the feasibility of the hardware and software of the control system was evaluated and tested using tools such as the PC-network debugging assistant and the control system integrated test platform for display and control. Its includes testing of core components, testing of hardware circuits, testing of software programs, and overall functional testing of control systems.During the testing process, the causes of the problems were analyzed, and corresponding solutions were provided to provide quality assurance for the safe use of the system.Tests have proved that the control system is in good operating condition and basically satisfies the market requirements for the functions and technical specifications of the broadcast transmitter power amplifier control system and meets the acceptance criteria.
