With the advent of the information age,data security is paid more and more attention by people,and independent design of chips is an important part of information security.Because of that,a CF(Compact Flash,CF)card is designed and implemented based on embedded multimedia card(e MMC)in this paper.In the CF card,the main control chip INIC2051 designed by a domestic company,with complete independent intellectual property rights,is adopted as its controller so that the information loopholes are eliminated and the safety of data and information is ensured.Due to the fast replacement of flash memory chips and the relatively slow replacement of e MMCs,it is easy to maintain the stability of models for production and use.Therefore,a method that the e MMC module with JEDEC standard instead of the traditional flash memory chips directly driven by the CF-IDE(Integrated-Drive-Electronics)controller is uesd to achieve high-speed,highdensity CF card(or IDE hard drive)is proposed in this paper.The CF card sends and receives data to and from the host by sending a command conforming to the Compact Flash standard.The data communication between the CF card controller and the e MMC device needs to follow the e MMC protocol.Therefore,the CF standard and the e MMC protocol are further studied in this paper,and based on the research,the e MMC-based CF card storage device is designed and implemented.The circuit hardware design is completed by adopting the INIC2051 CF card controller independently designed by a domestic company as the master chip and e MMC as a data storage medium.This paper also introduces the firmware design of CF card in detail,including the PIO(Programming Input / Output Model)and DMA(Direct Memory Access)operation mode compatible with ATA(Advanced Technology Attachment)standard,as well as the initialization operation of e MMC device and the read write operation of e MMC device.After the chip design is completed,the CF card is verified by the module,and the entire storage system is fully tested.The test results show that the e MMC-based CF card designed and implemented in this paper can meet the expected requirements of read / write speed and stability,which has a certain practical value.
