Research On Patent Information Service Strategies Of University Libraries In Kunming

Patent information has important value of reference and utilization for national deployment of major strategies,enterprises' participation in market competition,and innovation and creation of researchers.The number of patent applications in Kunming Province accounts for more than half of the total number of patent applications in Yunnan Province,and maintain a relatively rapid growth momentum,which put forward new requirements for the work of intellectual property right in Kunming.University Libraries in Kunming are equipped with the conditions of resources,talents and research conditions,and have the basis for the development of patent information services.However,at present,the patent information service of university libraries in Kunming is still in its infancy.There are also relatively shallow service levels and service contents.Based on the above situation,in order to promote the sound development of the patent information service of university libraries in Kunming,the author investigated the status quo and demand for patent information services of university libraries in Kunming,and proposed a patent information service strategy adapted to its current development.The results are as follows:The patent information service of university libraries in Kunming area is still in its infancy.There are problems such as insufficient construction of patent database resources,shortage of professional staff,less content and methods of patent information training,and insufficiency of deep-level services.The causes of these problems mainly include: lack of patent analysis tools and awareness of personnel patent information services,and some external environmental factors.The model of the Shanghai Jiaotong University's patent information service and the find that the service mechanism of the “Patent School” of Shanghai Jiaotong University and the combination of physical platform and virtual platform to develop patent information services are useful reference;The actual experience in the patent information service case in Yunnan Province found that there are still problems in the use of patent information in high-tech companies and SMEs in Kunming,and patentservice agencies should provide them with patent information services that meet the specific conditions and needs of the company.The patent information service strategy of “Online+Offline” of university libraries in Kunming was put forward,which contains the construction of online service resources,service content and process,and the suggestions and safeguards during the implementation.
