With the introduction of the concept "BRICS" in 2001 and China's emphasis on the markets of Latin America, the relationship between China and Brazil has become the focus of many scholars.China and Brazil,as developing countries, emerging economies and members of Brics, bilateral trade with the two countries has been continuously increasing these years. In recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Brazil has entered an "upgraded version." Both sides have signed a number of agreements in the areas of economy and trade, including cooperation in capacity, finance and infrastructure construction. They also share strong common interests in the area of politics, attaching importance to developing and maintaining a multi-polar world. However, there are still trade frictions between the two countries.China's high investment in Latin America started to pose a threat to Brazil, creating industry competition in many fields and regions.Under the listed circumstances, the attitude toward China in the Brazilian media reports is also gradually changing. With the high speed information dissemination, the media is served as an intermediary between events and readers.Journalists process and select information through the news framing first and then deliver it to the audience.Along with the reform and development of China, the image of China in the western society is also changing. From "The Collapse of China" to "Threat from China" advocated by the developed countries such as the United States and Japan,to "China Responsibility Theory",the news framing set by the western media has formed a widespread influence in the international community. Therefore,it is important to find out how emerging economies view China. Is it subject to the agenda of western public opinion? Based on the above background, this article studies and explores the bilateral trade between China and Brazil and the economic image of China and Brazil under the framing theory and the relationship between China and Brazil. This article studies the reports from 2010 to 2016 about the trade between China and Brazil covered by the two most influential newspapers of Brazil,O Globo and Folha de S.Paulo.Through analysis of following aspects such as the number of reports, report length, the covered topics, the attitude of the reports, the issues of negative reports, the research intends to analyze the status and tendency of the reports covered by Brazilian media and to explore the bilateral trade between the two countries and the economic image of China under the perspective of Brazilian media.Through the analysis and study,it is concluded that in recent years, although the negative reports increased, the Brazilian media hasn't fallen into the framing of western media such as "Threat from China" and "China Responsibility Theory" on the whole.Brazil is optimistic that the economic and trade interaction between the two countries will outweigh its own advantages. In spite of the occasional friction, the overall interest of Brazil is in a favorable situation.
