Image scaling is the purpose of a resolution of the image into another target resolution of the image processing,and its core is the image interpolation algorithm,the image interpolation algorithm will directly affect the image quality of the zoom,so the Image interpolation algorithm research is very important.At the same time,based on the algorithm research,the algorithm is also practical application is essential,based on the current needs of image scaling,this paper has done the following work:(1)The analysis and comparison of the spatial and frequency domains of several commonly used image interpolation algorithms are carried out,and the subjective visual evaluation is carried out by MATLAB.It is necessary to apply the bilinear interpolation algorithm and the double cubic interpolation algorithm.The conclusion(2)Based on the current situation of video image scaling algorithm and its application at home and abroad,as well as FPGA-based parallel processing capability and programmable features,it is very suitable for the processing of video images with large amounts of data.FPGA two different zoom kernel video image scaling processing program;(3)Based on the same resolution corresponds to the unique characteristics of a row and field timing,to achieve the resolution of the collected video format recognition;(4)through the DVI interface to collect video data,design SDRAM controller,using a SDRAM video data cache,and then according to need,SDRAM video data extracted in time for interpolation to achieve real-time access to video images;(5)Based on the ISE platform,the algorithm of interpolation algorithm is written in Verilog language,and the correct result of the algorithm is verified by Isim simulation and MATLAB using the same interpolation algorithm.(6)The use of FPGA's PLL_ADV reconfigurable features,by changing the status code to achieve a variety of display resolution video image reconfiguration function;(7)Design output timing controller,according to VESA video standard to produce the specified resolution timing,through the DVI interface to achieve the LCD screen display.The whole system through the pipeline form,the main function in addition to video image scaling,there are original video image format automatic identification,the target video image format reconfiguration.The system can run up to 150MHz,can achieve 800 x 600 to 1080p HD video real-time scaling and display,field frequency up to 60Hz.
