Study On The Construction Of Party Newspaper Farmers' Image

At present,public still exists a lot of deviation about the perception of farmers' image.The image that farmers are folly,fogyish and lack of pioneering and enterprising spirit has been affecting the public's perception of farmers,leading to the formation of “stereotypes” and “cultural bias”,“farmers” has become a tag urban residents that distinguish them with farmers.As the main body of “the three agriculture-related issues”,farmers have important role in building a well-off society in an all-around way,constructing a harmonious society,building a socialism new countryside,and they are object of media attention and reporting over the years.party newspaper audience is widespread with high authority and influence.Its' construction of farmers' image not only affects the attitude of parts of the city residents' perceptions to farmers,also affects the farmer's self-perception.Therefore,it is the responsibility of the party newspaper to eliminate the “stereotype” of public and construct the real and complete image of farmers.This paper takes People's Daily as an example,through content analysis method to study the farmers' image on the coverage of People's Daily and communication reports related to agriculture,respectively from the farmers' gender,age,professional image,behavior image,image quality,etc,to explore the construction of party newspaper of farmers' images.Study found that the image of People's Daily is in line with reality of farmers,but there are still some deviation,such as too much income reports,much emphasis on reporting positive image of farmers.At the same time,There are also problems such as the imbalance in the image structure of female farmers,the lack of farmers' discourse power,and the lack of representation of farmers' academic image and physical quality.The author believes that the party newspaper should construct a complete image of farmers,increase reports from farmers' perspective,highlight the farmer's main body status,focus on rural education and medical selection.
