A Study On The Media Image Of Farmers In "People's Daily" From The Perspective Of Rural Revitalization

China is a populous country.According to the results of the sixth national census in 2010,the rural population in my country accounts for 50.32% of the total population.The issue of "agriculture,rural areas and farmers" has always been an issue that my country attaches great importance to.On October 18,2017,the report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of rural revitalization,pointing out that the problem of agricultural and rural farmers is a fundamental issue related to the national economy and people's livelihood,and the resolution of the “three rural issues” must always be the top priority of the party's work..As the mainstay of agriculture and rural areas,the peasant group deserves sufficient attention and attention.In order to study the presentation of the image of farmers in the People's Daily from the perspective of rural revitalization,all the texts of articles involving farmers in the two years after the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy were selected from the macro perspective based on big data and the micro perspective based on sampling.the study.Based on the macro analysis of the image of farmers based on big data,we obtain the word frequency table under the full text segmentation.The high-frequency words include development,China,construction,work,rural,agriculture,rural,country,reform,etc.Based on the LDA theme model,the image of farmers can be classified into four categories: the image of harvest farmers under grain production,the image of poverty alleviation farmers under the fight against poverty,the image of modern farmers under technological innovation,and the image of active farmers under new policies in the new era.From the results of sentiment analysis,most of the articles involving farmers in the People's Daily are positive emotions.A micro-study on the image of farmers in the People's Daily under the agenda setting,sampling 303 texts within a time period with a quota sampling method,the frequency of "agricultural" articles,the layout of "agricultural" articles,the genre of "agricultural" articles,Statistical analysis on the field of“agriculture-related” articles,etc.,found that “agriculture-related” articles involving farmers in the People's Daily are more frequent;"Nong" weekly column of "New Countryside";in terms of article genre,in-depth reports and communications are the main articles.In terms of article content,articles in the political field are the most,and the rest are in the fields of life,economy,and culture in order.A comparative study of the information environment and the real environment,combined with the "China Statistical Yearbook" and "China Rural Statistical Yearbook",analyzed the per capita disposable income of rural residents,the incidence of rural poverty,and the educational level of rural household heads.Since the implementation of the revitalization strategy,the per capita disposable income of rural residents has continued to increase,the incidence of rural poverty has continued to decrease,and the proportion of rural household heads with a high degree of education has increased significantly.The study believes that the People's Daily under the strategy of rural revitalization has practical significance in constructing the image of farmers.It has truly implemented the focus on farmers and corrected the stereotype of the "old farmers".The spread of the positive image of farmers by the People's Daily is a manifestation of the responsibility of the party media and plays a certain role in enhancing the status of farmers.However,the "People's Daily" also has certain problems with the presentation of the image of farmers,such as the lack of voice of some disadvantaged groups in rural areas,excessive positive emotions,and serious template-based reporting.
