The transformation of publishing companies means the changes in the orientation,organization,and resource allocation of publishing companies.It is relative to the traditional books' main business of publishing companies.It is the course of a publishing company to achieve a new publishing format by rebuilding its competitiveness and become bigger and stronger.At present,China's publishing companies have all completed the conversion of enterprises to enter the fierce market competition.With the change of the technological environment and the development of globalization,publishers must adopt strategic transitions to adapt to new changes in market competition and form new competitive advantages and competitiveness.We will focus on the perspective of Qingdao publishing group with the background of city publishing in this article.As a member of the city' s publishers,with the disadvantages of lacking of comprehensiveness and the profound accumulation of high-quality publishing resources,it has taken a critical step in the path of transformation and development and has developed into a comprehensive publishing media group to fuse books,newspapers,periodicals,electronics,audiovisual,networking,film and television,and games together compared to other city ' s publishers.As the "leader" in the city' s publishers,it is representative and persuasive in terms of consideration,choice,and implementation of the transition path.Qingdao publishing group has always taken reform and innovation as its axis to promote transformation and upgrading and process reengineering under the grand background of the national cultural system reform.We elaborated the transformation and development path of Qingdao publishing group,summed up the experience of the transformation and development of Qingdao Publishing Group,and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on its actual problems in this article.The main research methods used in this paper include literature method,case studying method and survey method.The first chapter is the introduction part.The author introduces the background of research and significance,literature review,main research contents and methods,the definition and innovation of Qingdao publishing group.The author's research object is the Qingdao publishing group with a background of city publishing.It is an important part of the city publishers.In the second chapter,the origin of the city publishers was briefly described,the relationship between the city publishers and the city was discussed,and the transformation and development status of the city publishers in China was introduced.In the third chapter,the author first introduced the overview,development and transformation ideas of the Qingdao publishing group,and then analyzed in detail the transformation path of the Qingdao publishing group by expounding the development in digitization,diversification,internationalization and capital operation.Finally,the successful experiences of their transformation and development were summarized.In the fourth chapter,based on an analysis of the current status of its transformation,the author proposes the problems that currently exist in its development,and proposes four measures for the development including the acceleration of brand development of books,the profit model of digital publishing,improving the construction of e-commerce platforms and try to set up a branch in the biggest cities.Finally,In the fifth chapter,according to its experience in transformation and development,it provides some inspiration for the development of other city's publishers in the transition period.
