| Suspense is an important creative technique in works of art such as novels,plays,films and television,and is an important artistic method to attract the attention of the audience.The concept of suspense originated from the narrative methods in literature,but the suspense in literature and the suspense in radio and television have great differences in the way of expression and presentation.This article is based on the context of television and the in-depth discussion of the suspense setting of television legal programs.This article from three parts discusses the setting and realization path of suspense in television legal program.The first part deals with the four types of suspense settings commonly found in TV legal programs,namely,total suspense and subsuspense,closed suspense and open suspense,theme suspense and detail suspense,time suspense and inverse suspense;It discusses the methods of suspense setting in television legal programs,discusses the narrative methods for the purpose of sublimation themes,constructs the relationship between people in terms of space-time tension,and presents the suspense atmosphere in sound and drawing language.The third part analyzes television legal programs.The suspense setting steps,the psychological mechanism of suspense formation,and the suspense realization path.The steps of suspense setting are usually "throwing questions,revealing contradictions","cue tracking,hiding information","revealing answers,restoring facts."
