Gender Discourse And Meaning Construction

In recent years,the setting of gender issues in domestic TV dramas has aroused the active discussion among the audience in the online community.The interpretation of the audience can not only reproduce the meaning of the TV series,but also a kind of discourse practice in daily life,which will influence the construction of new gender discourse norms by constantly giving new meanings to gender discourse.Under the current new media context and marketization background,how does the audience actively discuss the gender issues related to the TV series,and whether the new gender discourse norm is conducive to promoting gender equality? In order to explore this problem,this paper analyzes the online comments of "Ode To Joy".In this work,that data statistic and utterance analysis are carried out on the network comments of the audience to read "Ode To Joy".Firstly,by examining the multivariate interpretation of the audience,this paper discusses the process of the audience's meaningful reproduction of "Ode To Joy".Preliminary inquiry into its impact on current gender discourse.On this basis,analyze the discourse power behind the audience's meaning production,further investigate new dynamic construction of gender discourse specification,and discusses whether the new gender discourse is conducive to promoting the development of gender equality.This paper finds that the audience actively discusses the gender issues related to "Ode To Joy" in the online community,to participate in the process of gender production and influence the construction of new gender discourse.The audience's reproduction of the meaning of "Ode To Joy" is the daily discourse practice in the new media context,which is the competition between the market,traditional culture,feminism and other discourse forces.In the process of multi-discourse power or confrontation or fusion,the new gender discourse is no longer the new packaging of old norm,but the development of a more pluralistic and inclusive gender norm,thus promoting the development of gender equality at the micro level.On the one hand,in the process of the confrontation between audience's dominant discourse and resistance discourse,the diffusion of multiple gender meanings and the reconstructionof gender consciousness of multiple subjects promoted the expansion of female discourse space.The full collision of multiple discourse power in the market promoting gender discourse into a more diverse gender norm.On the other hand,in the process of the coordinated interpretation of audience,the exchange of male and female concepts has promoted the dialogue between male discourse and female discourse.The fusion of multiple discourse power co-exists,gradually eliminating the binary opposition and hierarchical order of gender,thus promoting the reconstruction of a more inclusive gender norm.
