Recognition Of Research Groups And Their Effects Based On Social Network Analysis

In the early twentieth century the importance of academic collaboration has become increasingly prominent,and the trans-institutional and trans-regional research groups has become the main scientific production model.It is of great significance to determine the academic influence of scientific research groups and to quantify and evaluate its academic influence.Scholars should understand the structure,characteristics,communication process,production model and academic influence of scientific research teams,so as to carry out scientific research more effectively.The social network analysis measures is applied to research the scientific research groups' academic influence,further study of two aspects of discovery and evaluation of the scientific research team is carried out,in order to provide new ideas and methods for the quantitative basis of scientific research team in the field.Finally,using social network analysis theory,network and other indices to find out the hidden scientific research groups,then explores the relationship between network structure and various network index and team performance,and finally establishes evaluation scheme for the research group performance.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter discusses the research background,research purpose,research significance,research content and research methods,with redefinition of concerned concepts;in the second chapter,it summarizes the domestic and foreign research results and research status quo about research groups,which includes: team recognition,team evaluation,research groups' performance evaluation scheme;in the third chapter,the social network analysis measures are used to recognize and evaluate the groups' performance,with data collection and processing and then set up the whole network.In the fourth chapter,this paper digs out possible factors that infect research group performance.Firstly,it starts with defining indices to set standard for the following quantifying indices.After calculating the indices,we further dig out factors by discussing connection between net structures and net features,then finally determine performance evaluation scheme.It mainly includes group structure,group recognition and scheme building.In the scheme building part,it mainly discuss about trans-group communication ability,eminence,contribution and collaboration ability of research groups.In the fifth chapter,we provide suggestions of improving academic performance.
