New media such as online media is characterized by strong interactivity,convenience,gregariousness,timeliness,and uncontrollability.In the context of new media,Chinese journals have established digital and online journals,using new media technologies to become globalized,but the level of new media is not too much high.Facing the challenge of the new media and the increase of market uncertainty,the periodical has the following problems in the innovation of the business model:the target consumer group is low in precision,unable to meet the personalized demand of the readers;the product and service innovation is not enough,the value-added products and services are lacking;single marketing channel and profit model.Therefore,studying the innovation of journal business model in the context of new media has profound practical significance for the sustainable development of journals.This article takes the business model of journal of new media background as the research objective,discusses the innovation of the business model,in order to propose effective countermeasures and suggestions for the journals' development.This article sort out the relevant research results of new media,periodical business models,and periodical business model innovation through the literature research method.Divides and summarizes the development of periodicals based on new media technologies.Analyzes the evolution of business models and summarizes the business models of existing journals.Then analyzes the macro and micro factors that influences the business model innovation of journals.DEMATEL method was used to select key influencing factors.Summarize the dynamic mechanism diagram of the periodical business model innovation in the context of new media and explain the mechanism and logic rules.Next,analyze successful cases of journal business model innovation in the context of new media.The analysis object is Vogue issued by Conde Nast Publications Inc.Finally,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.
