Research On ERP Information Platform Design Based On The Perspective Of Business Model Innovation

With the development of information technology and internet economy,the business environment enterprise facing has changed and had profoundinfluence to enterprise management. In order to improve the enterprisecompetitiveness, more and more companies turn to information constructionand business model innovation. In the process of business model innovation,using ERP will be helpful to capture the market information quickly andimprove the customer value proposition, promote the businessreengineering and the key resources integrating, improve the profitspace.The paper is aimed to study the ERP information platform designing fromthe perspective of business model innovation, especially how to designthe modules of ERP to meet the requirement from business model innovation.The paper uses method of literature research and case analysis. Firstly,on the basis of reviewing and sorting the related literature at home andabroad, the paper defines the concept, the function, the idea and thetendency of ERP; defines the concept, the elements of business model;sorts the concept of business model innovation. The study thinks thatbusiness model innovation elements include value proposition, businessprocess, key resources and profit model. Secondly, the paper analyzes therequirement of ERP information platform design from business modelinnovation, and how to design the ERP information platform based onbusiness model innovation, especially how to design the sales anddistribution module based on value customer proposition; how to designthe production and planning module design based on business processreengineering; how to design the material management module based on the key resources integrating, and how to design the financial accounting andcontrolling module based on profit improving. Thirdly, the study takesKellogg’s as an example, analyzing how to design the ERP system to supportits business model innovation, and pointing out the problems in theprocess.The study thinks that business model innovation and ERP are the methodsto reply the change of business environment. The second, business modelinnovation has impact on the ERP designing, and ERP information designingshould be based on and service for the business model innovation, and thereare different requirements from different elements of business models.
