Comparative Study On The Awards Mechanism Of Chinese And Western Data Journalism

The information technology revolution brought by the development of the network and big data technology made profound influence for Industries and fields related to information flow,especially for the media industry dominated by information dissemination.Under the technical support of this revolution,the marriage of big data technology and the media industry has led to a new mode of news production-data journalism.As the data journalism gradually received the attention of the world,the various awards of data journalism came into being.It can be said,awards of data journalism is the product of the development of data news to a certain stage,and also plays an important role in regulating and guiding the development of data journalism.Under the background of open data,this paper use the concept of "mechanism" to compare the awards of Chinese and western data journalism in the every element work forms,summed up the commonalities and differences between Chinese and western data journalism awards mechanisms.It also intends to reveal some realistic and historical factors that influence and restrict Chinese and Western data journalism awards and their evaluation mechanism from the perspective of news field.Through the research,it has been found that there are some differences in the awards mechanism of Chinese and Western data journalism in organization,awards setting,and the composition of the judges.There also has a lot of commonalities in the way of evaluation,the way of awarding,the evaluation standard and so on.Through field theory analysis shows that,due to the particularity of data journalism field,the most of the differences can be eliminated,and the commonalities provide the possibilities to learn from each other.Finally,the author moves around the core concept of the field theory,puts forward the method to improve the data journalism awards mechanism,which will promote the development of Chinese data journalism.
