Study On The Causes Of Professional Anomie In China's Data Journalism:From The Perspective Of Field Theory

With the rise and global proliferation of data journalism,China's practice is also in full swing.But at the same time,its professional anomie phenomenon occurs so frequently,that the development of China's data journalism encountered bottlenecks.On the basis of clarifying data journalism's connotation boundary,value attribute,cultural gene and transforming significance,combing relevant achievements in normative research,this paper establishes data journalism's media production as research object,so as to explain the causes of professional anomie in domestic data journalism.Based on the research framework of field theory,this research selects nine data journalism practitioners,who are from the portal,traditional media,Internet company and independent news agencies,to conduct in-depth interviews,in order to explain operation mechanism and internal logic in domestic data journalism.Above interviews focus on six issues,such as basic cognition,role orientation,management mechanism,organizational structure,production process and cultural atmosphere.In the dimension of field properties in data journalism production,research found that the data journalism field is controlled by the slow progress of news legislation and the lack of information openness in political field,the struggling market reform and the strengthened data availability in economic field,the degree of openness,which needs to be improved,in cultural field,and the low level of professionalism in media field.Among them,the management and operation of data journalism organizations have many deficiencies,such as the pursuit of attention,the urgent salary level,the general lack of technical personnel,top-down control mechanism,and the missing of user thinking.As for the dynamic mechanism of production,study shows that on the one hand,the cooperative and sharing mechanism among organizations is the main implementation path to build rational strategy.On the other hand,the control of political field,economic field,cultural field,and media field,the commercialization logic of management and "improved"practice,which based on the utilitarian goal and the heterogeneity of capital and occupancy,together with the cognitive chaos and role free,constitute the non-rational strategy in the practice of domestic data journalism.In summary,in the structured data journalism field,the contradiction between in-depth reporting genes of data journalism and investigative reports' barren soil,the conflicts between brain drain and talent demand in media institutions;the obvious business attributes of management and operation;the cognitive chaos and role free together constitute the deep motivation of China's data journalism's professional anomie.
