Digital preservation has become a basic responsibility of the human society in the digital age.It is one of the core responsibilities of the preservation system to ensure the availability of digital objects.Analysing the factors that generate the availability risk and performing the availability risk detection on this basis is the premise for the preservation system to formulate and implement targeted measures to avoid and reduce the availability risk.Therefore,this paper designs availability-risk metadata and builds a availability risk detection method based on this,and verifies the scientificness of the detection method through experiments.It has realistic practical value and scientific significance.Firstly,this paper defines the meaning of digital preservation and its availability,and analyzes the types of digital preservation availability risks.Then,The determination of the risk points for the availability of digital preservation is based on the types of availability risk,referring to the metadata schemes such as preserved and managed metadata,and based on the theory of comprehensive risk management.Availability risk points for digital objects,including digital object identifiers,digital object types,access point information,file systems,browsing software information,save levels,coding information,and storage information;availability risk points for saving events,including indexing events,digital object deletion events,storage media refresh events,virus detection events;property-related availability risk points,including copyright information,license information;preservation of policy-related availability risk points,including access point settings,media refresh frequency,virus detection cycle.Next,using “CNKI” as the experimental object,we define the relevant terminology in the experiment process.And the digital objects of the experiment were divided into several hierarchical units according to the time interval,document type,and discipline type.Stratified random sampling method is used to collect samples of each level unit,design the detection algorithm of availability risk,compile and run the detection code,detect all risk points of availability,output detection points that generate risk,and statistically test results,and analyze possible causes.Develop targeted measures to reduce or circumvent the risks.
