Time News Monthly,born in April 1,1948 by Guangzhou C urrent Affairs Newsletter whose predecessor was Guangzhou Current Affairs Evening News where located in Yuexiu District of Guangzhou C ity Yu Shan Road in the source of the 13 th,is a news feature of fortnightly which usual y issue on the 1st in every month.Time News Mongthly was created in the eve of the liberation of mainland C hina.During that time,the different political power in China was very complex and social life including economy and culture was affected by domestic war.Guangzhou is located in the south of C hina.The liberation of Nanjing in April 1949 by C hinese People 's Liberation Army declared that the perish of the Kuomintang regime.After transferred to Guangzhou,the Nanjing National Government wanted to recalcitrant,but it failed.Time News Monthly reported current politics at home and abroad in nearly two years before the liberation,which become an important politics newspaper in that time.This paper takes 300 articles of Time News Monthly which published in total 18 months and 25 issues as a sample,introducing the background,the purpose,the condition and authors of it.Besides,the paper analyzes the main content and guiding ideology of it.Thirdly,the paper analyzes politics report features and summarizes the way of humorous satire of it and the strategy of Romance to attract readers.Next,the paper analyzes the construction of political discourse system from political communication,agenda setting,power supervision and features.Finally the paper analyzes its effect to the democratic political construction.In the exclusion of the KMT and the Communist Party to take the "third road" of the Time News eventually failed.This paper is based on the research method of news history and studied the survival of political newspapers in special historical environment.
