With the rapid development of information technology,mankind has entered the information era.Information technology plays an increasingly important role in our daily life,study and work.In the past decade,higher education in China has been developing rapidly as the scale,student numbers and campus numbers have been on the increase.As a result,it is more and more difficult in the management of teaching,scientific research and administration.Due to its low efficiency,traditional information sharing and transmission cannot meet the demands of education development.Universities have to develop a collaborative office automation(COA)system information integration and processing.Based upon the experience of university administration and software development,the study makes an attempt to design university collaborative office automation system upon work flows.On the basis of an investigation of the existing COA system at home and abroad,the study designed a systematic framework with the result of the investigation.It proposed a systematic structure by integrating J2EE,B/S with Oracle technology.Work flow modules are designed and cases are provided to use the network load balancing and data bank.The system was tested and the data collected was analyzed.The adoption of COA system may increase the communication and collaboration of different campuses,departments,staff and students as a result of the management and utilization of department and individual information.In the meantime,COA system can improve the efficiency of work,teaching and study for the staff and the students.COA system is a significant sign of the modernization of university administration and an important part of developing university information and Internet of things.
