The implementation of the new curriculum standard makes more middle school history teachers realize that the traditional teaching methods are not suitable for the requirements of the new era education for both teachers and students in some aspects.Therefore,they began to find new teaching methods in order to achieve higher teaching objectives and teaching effects.Experiential teaching,as the name suggests,is to enable students to learn history,feel history and understand the charm of history in "experience".In the process of participating in situations,exploring history and experiencing activities,students can understand history knowledge more deeply,master history knowledge,and finally reach the highest level of forming their own core quality of history discipline.Based on the existing experience teaching research,this paper focuses on its application in practice teaching,so that students can actively experience and participate in teaching,so that junior high school history teaching is full of vitality.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,through elaborating the concept,characteristics and theoretical basis of experiential teaching,analyzes the importance of this teaching method in junior middle school history teaching,and takes Haicheng No.4 Middle School in Liaoning Province as the research object,focusing on the problems and reasons in the application of this teaching method.On this basis,experiential teaching is based on Dewey's experiential pedagogy theory,David Cooper's experiential learning theory and Tao Xingzhi's life education theory,forming its unique characteristics-participation,subjectivity and generativeness.After that,the author discusses that in teaching,we should create teaching methods of situation,problem exploration,practical activities and emotional sublimation so that students can experience history and participate in history to have a deeper and more thorough understanding of history knowledge.At the same time,the author tries to solve the problems in the actual teaching with layers ofin-depth teaching methods.Finally,the author puts forward the future expectation of experiential teaching in history teaching: experiential teaching is the direction of future history teachers' Teaching under the reform of basic education;it is an effective way for teachers and students to establish a sense of lifelong learning;it is also an effective way to help students improve their personality.
