Many domestic scholars have carried out research on the application of seminar-based teaching in college classrooms,but research on teaching-oriented reading teaching for middle school Chinese is relatively rare.Middle school students have certain classroom cooperation and exchange experience,and at the same time have independent thinking ability,in order to better adapt to higher level classroom teaching.First of all,this paper will discuss the importance and significance of the seminar-based teaching from the characteristics of the seminar-based teaching and the characteristics of the middle school Chinese reading.The application of seminar-based teaching in Chinese reading teaching is not contrary to the Chinese test mode.It is conducive to the co mprehensive improvement of students' reading literacy,can broaden students' horizons,cultivate students' innovative thinking,and can make up for the defects of traditional teaching to some extent.In this paper,questionnaire survey and interview metho d are adopted to sample the students of four senior middle schools in Wuhan,and direct interview is conducted with the front-line Chinese teachers.Through comparative analysis of the questionnaire survey data and interview content,we understand the curr ent situation of deliberative reading teaching in some schools in Wuhan,and also find some problems.Most of the teachers and most of the students agree with and support the discussion teaching,but in the face of the pressure of entrance examination,the practical choice of students and teachers will inevitably have the tendency of practical utility,so the Chinese reading teaching in middle school is still dominated by the traditional teaching mode.Secondly,students' self-reading ability is not enough,and their self-reading awareness is not strong.There is a lack of discussion and communication between students and teachers and between students and students.Moreover,there are some gaps in the implementation and effect of deliberative teaching among different schools.The implementation effect of deliberative reading teaching in the representative famous schools in the central city of Wuhan is better than that of other schools.In view of the investigation status and existing problems,this paper proposes specific implementation strategies,such as respecting students' real emotional experience,selecting appropriate teaching texts,simplifying the process o f discussion-based teaching,and putting reading and expression in the same dimension.
